Who are Morgan Computers and am I safe buying from you?
Morgan have an established trading record dating back over 25 years (we actually started life as a secondhand camera shop). We are not a company that has popped up with a web site and not much substance to back it up. We have large showrooms in Central London, Birmingham and Manchester plus a head office and warehouse in West London. For details of where to find us and how to contact us have a look at the store locations page and the contact us pages. You will notice that amongst other things we print the names of all our managers! To read more about our background, terms of sale, security and privacy policies click here.

Is your site really secure? I am worried about entering my credit card details.
We take matters of web security very seriously - when you go to our on-line ordering system, you are transferred to a secure area of our server using secure server software (SSL). This means that the information that you send is coded so that only we can de-code the information to obtain your personal details. You will notice that the address will change from http:// to https:// indicating a secure server and that a padlock will appear at the bottom of the page. For further information check our security policy

It's all very well having a web site but what if I want to contact someone?
You can contact us at any time - for specific enquiries regarding internet orders please e-mail websales@morgancomputers.co.uk, this will ensure your enquiry is effectively processed. In addition we have large showrooms in London, Birmingham and Manchester which you can visit during normal hours - most of our stock is on display if you want to take a closer look.

What are your delivery charges?
Mainland UK delivery is charged at £10 (ex VAT) - £11.75 (inc VAT) per order. We use Lynx Express who offer a reliable, fully insured, courier delivery system. Small items such as ink cartridges, memory cards etc are charged at £4.00 (£4.70 inc VAT) per order – these are sent using Royal Mail Packetpost – first class postal delivery but the goods must be signed for upon delivery. For other non mainland UK deliveries (including highlands and islands) we will quote you a price - if you have any specific delivery requirements please contact our sales department at websales@morgancomputers.co.uk

When will my order be despatched ?
Subject to stocks, all orders received before midday are despatched on a next working day delivery service via Lynx Express (Monday - Friday and excludes items sent via Packet Post). Lynx operate between the hours of 9:00am - 6:00pm and all parcels require a signature at the delivery address.

Why can you only deliver to the registered credit card billing address?
With the increasing levels of credit card fraud we have to be particularly vigilent; please bear with us if we carry out any security checks - ultimately these are for your own protection. We work closely with the major credit card companies and any attempted purchase that appears to be suspicious is always reported to the credit card company.
If someone obtained your card details fraudulently, they could have goods delivered to any address without your knowledge.
For further information check out our security policy and fraud policy.

When can I contact a member of the Internet sales team?
You can contact a member of the sales team on 0121 456 5565 who will be happy to help with any aspect of your order or for general enquires Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 5:30pm

What is your returns policy?
If goods are supplied faulty ie Dead on Arrival or develop a fault within seven days, we will offer you an exchange or full refund. All items must be returned in original packaging and in as sent condition.
In an ideal world all your purchases would be perfect – we do try our best – however there will inevitably be occasions when you need to return goods to Morgan.
In order to deal with your return efficiently it is important that you obtain a returns number (RMA); this enables us to track your return efficiently and ensure there are no unnecessary delays.
Please contact us on 0870 1204920 or by email at websales@morgancomputers.co.uk to obtain an RMA number; we will give you full instructions on how to return your goods.
Alternatively you can always return items to any one of our stores.

What About Dead On Arrival Goods?
If your item is faulty upon arrival, you must inform us within seven days. Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Subject to testing, we will issue a replacement or refund and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs.
Please note that if returned goods are found not to be faulty, you will be liable for the return carriage costs.
If goods are damaged in transit you must inform us within 48 hours. If you notice that items are visibly damaged upon receipt, sign the carriers note accordingly ie “Goods received damaged” or “Goods unchecked”.
Please remember that you must obtain a returns (RMA) number before returning goods to us (see above)

How do I return faulty goods under warranty?

If your item develops a fault within the first 28 days we will replace the product (subject to availability), assuming it is returned in as new condition with its original packaging and all accessories and documentation.
Thereafter goods will be repaired under the terms of the warranty.
In these instances you will be liable for the return carriage costs.
These guidelines do not apply in the case of damage, neglect, misuse or excessive wear and tear.
Further details regarding The Three Rs – Returns / Refunds / Repairs – are printed on the reverse of our invoices – to view click here.
Please remember that you must obtain a returns (RMA) number before returning goods to us (see above).

What is a dead pixel and what are the levels of acceptance?
LCD displays are made up of millions of pixels (each one then made up of 3 sub-pixels – red, blue and green). Each sub pixel has its own transistor so due to the complex nature of the technology, defects can occur in the manufacturing process. Unfortunately such defects cannot be repaired. An ISO standard has been established to regulate acceptable levels of defects and protect the consumer. ISO 13406-2 states how many pixel faults are acceptable before a display should be replaced. Morgan’s company policy is to work to the ISO standard.

What is meant by the term Classified / factory re-work?
The term Classified / Factory re-work is a classification given by manufactures for stock which cannot be sold as brand new - this would include units returned under money-back warranties, DOA products, tatty packaging, cosmetic marks or any unit which has previously been sold through retail. All units are reworked by the manufacture and sold with original software and accessories.
